An intriguing release of Admiral Rodney rum in the Officer's Release series. St Lucia Distillers use rums distilled on their 45 plate Coffey still for Admiral Rodney but specifically from the lower plates which create heavier, flavourful rums not so typical of column distilled rum. This Officer's Release was distilled in 2009 and matured for 11 years before a final 9 month finish in ex-Irish whiskey casks creating an elegant rich rum with toffee, liquorice raisin and tobacco characters.
