The first batch of a new annual limited release that is made entirely from barley grown on the Isle of Arran. This bottling is made from Optic Barley grown on Bellevue Farm by the Currie Family, who have farmed on Arran for six generations

The spirit was filled into a selection of First Fill Bourbon Barrels and Second Fill Sherry Hogsheads - very close to the proportion of wood types used for Arran's classic 10yo release. Likewise this whisky was aged for over a decade before being bottled at 50%.

Tasting Notes

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Fresh herbs, light citrus. Medium sweetness and vanilla. Aniseed.

Palate – Spicy, ginger and biscuity. Oak forward with vanilla. Citrus notes and a complex oily viscosity amplify the fruit.

Finish – Medium, dry with citrus and ginger/aniseed lingering.
