A bothy is a small hut or cottage, that are now often used as shelter for hillwalkers but had a previous use as housing for farm labourers. This cask strength whisky is matured for 7 years in ex-Bourbon casks, before a two year finishing in smaller quarter casks. We suppose the extra strength is the kind of central heating you need after a brisk day in the hills.
