This single cask comes from newer Speyside distillery, Ballindalloch, and is drawn from a single virgin oak hogshead after 8 years of maturation. The spirit was distilled from estate grown Laureate barley, and it was bottled as a UK exclusive at cask strength of 62.7%. Long fermentation times and worm tubs factor into Ballindalloch's production, resulting in a delicate and fruity spirit.
Founded in 2014, Ballindalloch joined the limited and esteemed ranks of "barley to bottle" distilleries in Scotland. Their entire production is crafted from Barley grown on their own estate, and they even feed the draff to the family's herd of Black Angus cows.
