Bonnington Oloroso Matured 47% 70cl SB11150 | Scotch - Single Malt | Located on the site of the historic, original Bonnington/Leith distillery of 1798, the modern Bonnington Distillery established in 2017 with production starting in 2020, is a less well known Edinburgh distillery. This is their Oloroso matured release, fully matured in Oloroso sherry casks. Here are thoughts from our buyer Sam: Quite impressive, like the previous PX matured it's got good sherry cask character and does have structure albeit an approachable whisky

Nose – Stewed cherries, plums and raisins, fresh tobacco, salted caramel

Palate – Strawberries and cream, white pepper, toffee apple, dark chocolate covered peppermint fondant

Finish – Toffee, nutmeg, digestive biscuit, quince.
