A rare independant bottling of 28 yr old Caperdonich from 1974 from the Speyside region, Scotland. Ian MacLeod's 'Chieftain's' range is famous for featuring rare single casks, including stock from mothballed or closed distilleries. Caperdonich was the sister distillery of Glen Grant and founded in 1897 and built as "Glen Grant No. 2" in 1898. Having been mothballed early, after silent decades this distillery was revived in 1965 operating until it's final closure in 2002.
