Four Roses Distillery near Lawrenceburg Kentucky, owes its name to romance, or so the story goes. Their founder, Paul jones Jnr, fell in love with a Southern Belle, and when he proposed to her, she said he would know she had accepted if she wore a corsage of roses at the grand ball. She wore 4 roses, and he later named his Bourbon Four Roses to celebrate. Four Roses distillery create all sorts of different recipes at their distillery, using different grains and different yeasts. Yellow label is a mixture of many of these recipes.

Tasting Notes

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – A pleasing sweet spice, fading to a moderate dry note. Earthy notes of advocado and pears. Red peppers and blueberries. A gentle fizz turning to creamy spice. With more time on the glass: white chocolate vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Palate – A bring strong spice that rushes across the mouth. Straw and icing sugar with vanilla sugar mixed in to the prickly mouthfeel.
