This is the oldest expression in Glen Grant's permanent collection. The distiller's were inspired by legacy of ‘The Major’ James Grant, the last Grant to own the distillery, who died in 1931. The Major would journey all over the world, and return with collections of fruits and plants. This 21-year-old was created to bring all the tropical aromas and flavours together. The spirit was matured in oloroso sherry butts, hogsheads and ex-Bourbon barrels from Warehouse Number 4.

Tasting Notes

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – Elegant, fresh and zesty followed by spiced peaches, oranges, honey and tropical fruits.

Palate – More spices, cinnamon and nutmeg with layers of baked pears and apricots.

Finish – Oily, a slight funk and sweet shop characters. A very subtle saltiness after a while, reminiscent of salted caramel.
