The Goslings, a family of blenders and bottlers based in Bermuda, have quite a history. In the 1820's, James Gosling, son of a wine and spirit merchant, set out with a ship laden with stock bound for the United States. After a long sea voyage, they stopped in Bermuda (they were out of ration) and set up a shop on the main street, Hamilton, Bermuda. Soon after, they began to blend fine caribbean rum, and they still do, to this day. The distillery consider this "their ultimate sipping rum".

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – A surprising bourbon like hit for a well aged rum, with sweet syrup and vanilla notes counter balanced by some heavy oak. More classic raisin and polished notes follow.

Palate – Teeters around the edge of bitterness without taking the decisive plunge, with oak, dry spices and burnt caramel initially dominant, before more subtle fruity notes emerge.
