The first release from the first rum distillery on Islay, based in the old Lemonade Factory in Port Ellen. Unaged single pot still rum made with a double retort copper pot still, similar to those found in many Caribbean distilleries.

Tasting Notes

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – Coconut cream, almonds, a little ester funk reminiscent of Barbadian rums. toffee, biscuits and a whiff of salt.

Palate – Still on the sweeter side with whipping cream, coconut, butterscotch. a touch of spice like black pepper and liquorice. A rich mouthfeel. We felt this works very well for Daquiris but also stands up neat very well for an unaged rum.
