Molucca is an 8 year old Golden Rum produced by Hebridean Independent bottler MacMillan Spirits Co. It is a blend of 8 rums, distilled in the Caribbean, bottled at 46%, and un-filtered and at natural colour for a rich flavour and extended finish. MacMillan named this rum for the Molucca Beans, also known as sea hearts, that travel the Gulf stream from the Caribbean to land on the beaches of the Hebrides. The MacMillan Spirits Co are planning to build a distillery on the beautiful island of Benbecula, which we look forward to seeing!

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – Initial notes of lime, tangerine and lychee. Hints of blackcurrant on second nose.

Palate – Blackcurrant syrup, heather honey, tangy orange and caramel towards the finish.
