From the now closed Pittyvaich (Gaelic for "the farmstead at the birch wood") Speyside Distillery. The whisky was distilled 1979 before being matured in a single cask (cask no. 5632) for 26 years and was then subsequently bottled in 2005 at 45.9%. One of carefully curated bottles which were released as part of Duncan Taylor's Rarest of the Rare series; an independent brand of single malt and grain Scotch whiskie. Produced until 2012, the label was reserved for casks in the company's inventory that were filled at since-closed distilleries. In excellent condition. Bought from a private collection.
