A lesser known Glasgow grain distillery, we are delighted the Thompson Bros have got their hands on these well aged, 36 year old casks. Most Strathclyde is used in the Chivas blends, so it is great to see it bottled as a single grain, adorned with a lovely Glasgow map on the label.

Tasting Notes

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Charred banana bread and vanilla pods mingle with Linzer cookies. Gentle waves of citrus and orchard fruit, alongside Italian Gewürztraminer.

Palate – Rich notes of plum syrup and crème de pêche unfold alongside hints of herbal tea and camphor. A touch of sawdust and toasted coconut chips follows, followed by Golden Grahams cereal.

Finish – Drifts toward Cuban rum.
