A milestone release from Wolfburn, as this is their first core-range age statement whisky. It was fully matured in Oloroso sherry casks, & bottled at natural colour and non-chill filtered. The old Wolfburn distillery was established in 1821, and quickly became the largest distillery in Caithness, and the current Wolfburn was built just 350 metres from it's ruins. They have been producing spirit since January 2013, using the same water source as the original distillery.

Staff Tasting Notes

Nose – Walnuts, raisins, fig tart, treacle and cinnamon.

Palate – Elegant with a good balance of dried fruit, toffee and icing.

Finish – Autumnal spice, dark chocolate and orange peel. Water brings a subtle saltiness.
