A rich and full flavoured Lowland single malt from Annandale Distillery, released as part of the unpeated Man O'Words range.
Distilled in 2018, this single cask whisky was matured in a double-oak bourbon cask, giving the spirit an extra layer of oak influence alongside Annandale's naturally fruity and malty character.
The nose opens with sweet vanilla and ripe orchard fruit, joined by touches of tropical fruit and gentle oak spice. On the palate, vanilla shortbread and caramel sit alongside juicy fruit, sweet malt and warming spice, creating a rich and rounded style with plenty of depth.
The finish is warming and persistent, with lingering vanilla, caramel, fruit and oak spice. Bottled at 58.5% ABV, this is a bold single cask expression that showcases the generous influence of double-oak bourbon maturation on Annandale's unpeated spirit.
