David Stewart and the team at Balvenie bring many years of experience in the process of cask finishing. From the 12 year old Double Wood, to their Port 21 year old, they have been one of the modern pioneers in this field.
This is their 16 year old, finished in Pineau des Charentes casks. Pineau is a fortified wine made from unfermented grape juice, with Cognac eau die vie added, and then matured. This finish brings refreshing citrus and floral notes.
