A falernum is a syrup flavoured with spices and flavours traditional to the Caribbean (almond, ginger and vanilla tend to be the most dominant flavours) designed to be an addition to fruity rum punches. This Bitter Truth version is distinctive because it has a higher-than-usual strength from the good Caribbean rum used as its base.

Nose – Spicy ginger with clove and a hint of vanilla.

Palate – A more subtle ginger, followed by almond and vanilla. An allspice tingle on the tongue develops into a long finish with a zest of lime.
