This famous Chairman's Reserve bottling has now been crafted to mimic the rum found in forgotten casks which were preserved from a catastrophic fire that destroyed the St Lucia Distillers warehouse in 2007. At the time these so-called 'Forgotten Casks' were found and deemed to be too old for use in the standard Chairman's Reserve blend so were released in their own form. St Lucia Distillers now purposefully hold back casks to be aged further specifically for this bottling. The rums used in this bottling are said to be in the range of 7 to 12 years of age.
