Nose - Oaky and malty aromas await, combining with hedgerow fruits and the richness of cacao. A subtle hint of toasted chestnuts underline the experience. Palate - Initial flavours of sweet liquorice entice the palate, morphing to reveal notes of autumn leaves and tannin which combine to produce a rich, oily, mouthcoating dram. Finish - The complexities come to the fore - initial nuttiness transforms to oaky spice which fades to reveal sweet dried fruits. Long and lingering. Staff Thoughts A meaty, full bodied note followed by a nice rich dark chocolate millionaire shortcake on the nose and palate.
