Distilled at Glenlossie in 2011, this 15 year old Speyside single malt Scotch whisky was matured in first fill bourbon barrel number 35430 before being selected and bottled by Adelphi at 59.7% ABV.
The first fill bourbon barrel has given the whisky plenty of opportunity to develop rich cask character while retaining the distillery’s elegant spirit. Expect a generous combination of vanilla, honeyed malt, orchard fruit, citrus and warming oak spice.
Bottled at a powerful strength, this single cask Glenlossie should offer excellent concentration and texture. Enjoy it neat to appreciate its full intensity, then add a small amount of water to reveal further layers of fruit, sweetness and oak.
