Isle of Jura 20 Year Old from Blind Summit is a mature Island single malt Scotch whisky aged in a refill Oloroso sherry butt and bottled at 53.4% ABV.
Twenty years of maturation have given the spirit time to develop depth and complexity, while the refill sherry cask allows the character of the whisky to remain prominent. The Oloroso influence should bring layers of dried fruit, toasted nuts, gentle spice and mature oak alongside Jura’s distinctive malt character.
Bottled at a generous strength, this release offers plenty of richness and texture. Enjoy it neat to appreciate its full character, then add a small amount of water to reveal further fruit, sweetness and cask influence.
Presented in a 50cl bottle, this is an appealing release for fans of independently bottled Jura, mature Island whisky and carefully balanced sherry cask maturation.
