Jaywalk Rye is produced by the New York Distilling Company in the bustling Bushwick Neighbourhood of Brooklyn, NYC.
Their Heirloom Rye is a truly unique release, as its full Rye content (75%) is Horton Heirloom; a heritage grain from the 17th century lost to time, until the distillery managed to bring it back with just 10 seeds! They now manage 200 acres of the crop in Finger Lakes, New York.
Every bottling is a hand selected single barrel aged for 8 or 9 years, and is bottled at natural cask strength. Please note this means the abv may slightly vary.
