Original cask strength Laphroaig bottled by the Saltire Rare Malt Whisky Company. Just 94 bottles have been released from the single refill ex European Oak Hogshead. Makes for a gorgeous earthy, ashy dram.

Official Tasting Notes

An immediate hit of aromatic smoke, joined by medicinal notes, dried lemon and earthy, ashy notes. Later menthol appears with notes of band aids and creosote on wood. This has everything what makes Laphroaig, Laphroaig. At this age the smokiness usually takes a back seat, but surprisingly this ‘Laffie’ does the opposite. It retains its phenolic character even at 20 years old. Not surprisingly, the smokiness of this medium bodied dram lingers on in the finish.
