An inspired collaboration between Fred Noe (of legendary American distilling family Beam) and Shinji Fukuyo (master blender for Suntory). This whiskey was distilled in Kentucky and matured in new American oak for four years, then some of the liquid was finished in ex-red wine and ex-sherry casks. Shinji blended back this finished bourbon with the straight bourbon creating a complex, balanced whiskey with unique flavours that only wine and sherry casks could provide- dried fruits and rich chocolate. We'd love to see more collaborations such as these in the whisky world.
