Originally released in May 2012 to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s 60th year on the throne. Aged in sherry casks selected by Bob Dalgarno and bottled on February 8th 2012 (60 years to the day since her ascension) at 52% (to match the year of ascension) and only 2,012 bottles produced. The label and package was designed by Art Director David Holmes who selected one of Arnold Machin’s effigies (which were later developed into the postage stamp) to adorn a brooch on the bottle’s label. Inspiration was taken from a brooch gifted to Queen Victoria on her Diamond Jubilee and embraced the Queen’s favourite colours, pale blue, pale yellow and pale green. The antique pewter surround was made in Scotland, the cameo in Staffordshire and the flags and ribbons were all made in Britain.
Bottle and box are in excellent condition. Bottle has a slightly low fill level.
