From the folks at Maker's Mark comes the Maker's 46, which was born when the 46th experiment to expand the range produced something of exceptional quality. Heavily charred French oak staves are added to casks of fully matured Maker's Mark which would otherwise go for bottling. The casks are laid to rest over the winter months, when the wood interaction is slow and steady, giving the master distiller close control of when the cask has reached the perfect balance of the classic profile and intensified vanillas, caramel and spice.
