Miltonduff is part of the Chivas Brothers, and has been since 2005. Between then and now, no official bottlings have been released, only independent bottlings (and a Ballantines Miltonduff bottling). We are big fans of this distillery from the independent bottlings we have tried.
James Eadie are known for choosing to showcase smaller yet remarkable names in whisky, and they chose this bottling as a mixture of First Fill Bourbon casks and refill Hogshead. It is light, fruity and very tangy.
The label has been drawn by Edinburgh-based artist, James Hutcheson. It is influenced by a painting called "The Maypole Inn" from the 1800s.
