Distilled on Speyside from two distilleries, matured in re-charred hogsheads followed by aging in first-fill bourbon and oloroso sherry casks for a layered complexity. This whisky has been blended to celebrate the famous 18th-century Scottish geologist James Hutton the 'father of modern geology', reflecting his discovery of deep time and earth’s endless cycles. This bottling is one of the The Ephemera Collection from Mossburn Distillers & Blenders - a limited-edition, non-repeatable series featuring 12 rare, small-batch whiskies and rums. Crafted under the guidance of whisky maker Neil Macleod Mathieson, every bottle showcases unique cask finishes and custom labels that draw from obscure Scottish history and mythical folklore.

Nose – Very grassy, almost hay like, and lemon zest notes. Melted butter and apricots, rounded off with an edge of oloroso.

Palate – Lemony, zesty, white pepper, honey and linseed oil. grassy vine tomato stalks and spice from the oak.
