Each batch of Port Askaig Sherry is a combination of 20 oloroso sherry casks from Jose y Miguel Martin. Selected, blended and bottled by their Master Blender Oliver Chilton to showcase this fantastic Islay single malt with a rich, fruity twist. Port Askaig single malt whisky was created in 2009 by independent bottler Elixir Distillers. They have amassed excellent Islay casks over that time.

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – The nose opens with smoked damson jam and peppery seared steak, brightened by navel orange and liquorice.

Palate – The palate grows dense with coal smoke and dark chocolate-covered cherries alongside charred BBQ meats. Finally, a finish of cocoa nibs and dried mint carries a lingering trace of boozy berries.
