This Diageo Special Release from 2008 was launched just as demand for Port Ellen was about to skyrocket. With news that the distillery will be rebuilt and reopen during the 2020s, bottlings from this revered series will surely become carefully scrutinised as new spirit is produced. The 8th release was limited to only 6618 bottles, all at cask strength of 55.3%.
