A luscious dram of impressive age and distinction from our pals at Decadent Drinks. This blended malt was originally filled in 1992 and aged in a refill hogshead, it underwent a finish of 8 years in an active 2nd fill sherry hogshead before being bottled at natural cask strength.

Tasting Notes

Official Tasting Notes

Nose –   Green and yellow fruits, but also big notes of golden sultana, old Fins Bois cognac, mead and heather honey. Then herbal liqueurs, tiger balm and unlit cigars in a humidor.

Palate – Superbly honeyed and waxy, but also richer and more emphatically spicy than other Burnsides. Tobacco leaf, milk chocolate studded with seasalt, Dundee cake full of glazed pecans, malt loaf and hints of dry earth and rancio.

Finish – Long, leafy, mineral, earthy, gently waxy and with a lingering impression of crystalised honey and winter spices.
