Speyburn, set up in the late 1800's by John Hopkins (the owner of Tobermory at the time) has always flown a little bit under the radar here in the UK. Mainly used by blenders, it is only in the past 10 years that it has really been seen as a single malt. Matured in predominantly ex Bourbon casks, it is a very easy drinking single malt whisky.
