A powerful 10 year old Speyside single malt from Tamdhu Distillery, independently bottled by Woodrow's of Edinburgh from a first fill bourbon barrel. One of 226 bottles produced at 66.3% ABV.
Tasting Notes
The bourbon cask allows Tamdhu's naturally rich and malty character to come through clearly, while adding plenty of vanilla sweetness, creamy oak and bright orchard fruit.
Expect notes of vanilla fudge, honey, ripe pear and citrus alongside sweet malt, toasted coconut and gentle oak spice. At cask strength, the whisky has plenty of weight and intensity, with a rich texture and a warming burst of spice through the palate.
The finish is long and warming, with lingering vanilla, sweet oak and fruit.
