We are delighted to work with the team at Tormore to select this Royal Mile Whiskies Exclusive, as part of their Legacy single cask series. One of only three single casks being released as part of the Legacy series, this single malt has matured for 12 years in a first fill bourbon barrel.

Here are thoughts from our Spirits Buyer Sam: 'I really loved this cask! Impressive for the age and showed the best kind of elegant Speyside style with honeydew melon, pear, brown sugar and coconut.

Tasting Notes

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Fresh verdant aromas with vines and green strawberries. This is followed by oranges and plums. Overall a really intriguing fruity nose that borders on the herbaceous.

Palate – A subtly waxy texture that gives way to sweet viscous treacle before fresh coconut and a funky grassy character.

Finish – Melon fruit salad leads the finish with a hint of brown sugar coated pastry. There is a touch of crisp menthol after a while and even some camomile.

Comments – A fascinating single cask which has multiple aspects of arguably an underappreciated distillery character.
