One of the few completely self-sustainable distilleries, Deanston generates all of it's own power via a waterwheel. It's so powerful, that the distillery has enough leftover to sell roughly 75% of the power to the national grid. Meaning that you can thank Deanston for the light you just switched on.

This limited edition bottling matured in traditional oak hogshead, and was finished in hand-selected ex-tequila casks. Tequila casks are still relatively rare in the Scotch whisky industry, so it is intriguing to see how Deanston's Single Malt interacts with this unusual cask.

Official Tasting Notes

Colour – Pale gold.

Nose – Notes of ripe pineapple, creme brulee, mixed nuts and light oak.

Palate – Rich, yet dry on the palate. Bursting with flavours of caramelised agave, toasted almonds, baked apples with custard and warming spice.

Finish – Long finish with brown spice and sweet, citrus bursts.
