A very limited release from Fettercairn distillery, first filled into a refill bourbon hogshead on 11th December 1995. After maturing for 25 years, the spirit was moved to a single French 'Pink Oak' Cask' - a rare wood type with high levels of carotenoids, which lend the spirit fruit and floral notes. This particular cask was sourced from Demptos in Bordeaux.
After 4 years further maturation, the Vanguard 29yo was bottled, with only 99 bottles produced.
