This Limited Edition Glenkinchie has been released as part of Diageo's Distiller's Edition series, featuring double-matured whiskies from all corners of Scotland. Representing the Lowlands, this special edition was matured in re-fill American and European oak casks before being racked for a second maturation in re-charred American oak casks that previously held Amontillado sherry. The Diageo Distiller's Editions are now an ongoing part of the range without a vintage year.

Tasting Notes

Official Tasting Notes

Nose – Crisp, yet well-formed, and complex. Nicely balanced between the drier notes from the wine and sweeter, nutty notes of barley and cask wood.

Palate –  Lightly oily, and sweetly malty in taste to start, then soon spicy, with rich dried fruit hints of raisin and date. Creamy-smooth, the lightly grapey sweetness is crisply balanced by warming wood-spice as it dries from mid-palate on.

Finish –  Really long, attractively drying and oaky, while lightly white pepper-spicy. Appealing aftertaste.
