This is an exclusive single cask bottling of single malt scotch whisky from Inverleven distillery, bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. Spirit distilled in December 1965 was matured for 34 years before bottling in February 2000.
Inverleven was a small malt distillery built in 1938 as part of a the much larger Dumbarton grain distillery, just Northwest of Glasgow. The practice of building a small malt distillery alongside a larger grain distillery was a relatively common one in the early 20th century, though almost none of the malt distilleries from this time are still operational. Inverleven distillery was decomissioned in 1991 and its stills are now located at Waterford distillery in Ireland.
The label is in good condition. The fill level is slightly low.
