A long fermented Rye whisky from the folks at the Oxford Artisan distillery. This is the 2nd release of this whisky. Made using organically grown grain from fields within 50 miles of the distillery, specifically heritage varieties, that bring complexity to this dram. Fermented in hungarian oak vats, distilled in their truly unique stills and aged in a mixture of new oak and freshly emptied Douro Port casks. Nutty notes, berry fruits, cake notes. A brilliant mix of flavours.

Nose – An incredible herbal freshness led by aniseed and violets, with a touch of banana and praline leading to toffee. Red apples, hazelnut and peppery notes.

Palate – Creamy butterscotch, strawberry jam and blackcurrant with raisins, cobnuts, walnuts, honey and ginger cake.

Finish – An intense sweet and spicy finish of banana bread, berries, tobacco, leather and peppermint.
