St Magdalene 1970 23 Year Old Rare Malts 58.1% 70cl
Last few in stock
This bottling of St Magdalene is one of three released as part of the Rare Malts Selection, the only three official bottlings of single malt ever released under the St Magdalene name. In 2004, as part of the Diageo special releases, a 30 year old expression was released as Linlithgow, by which name the distillery was also known.
St Magdalene was one of several Diageo (nee Distillers Company Limited) distilleries which was closed in 1983. The distillery was decomissioned fully and converted to residential flats, though the original pagoda roof remains.
This whisky, distilled in 1970, was matured in cask for 23 years before bottling in 1994 at full cask strength.
As can be seen from the image, the fill level is slightly low. The capsule and labels are in good condition.
