Distilled at Dailuaine in 2010, this 15 year old Speyside single malt Scotch whisky was matured in first fill Pedro Ximénez hogshead number 310226 before being selected and bottled by Adelphi at 56.7% ABV.
Dailuaine is known for producing a rich and weighty style of spirit, making it well suited to the generous influence of a PX cask. Expect layers of dried fruit, dark caramel, chocolate and warming spice, balanced by substantial malt character and a full texture.
Bottled at a powerful strength, this single cask release should offer plenty of concentration and depth. Enjoy it neat to experience its full character, then add a small amount of water to reveal further sweetness, fruit and spice.
