Chapter 18 of Decadent Drinks' Whiskyland Series is a 30 year old from closed distillery, Caperdonich. The spirit was distilled in 1994 and rested 26 years in a refill barrel before a 4 year finish in a first fill sherry hogshead. One of only 230 bottles.
Caperdonich was built in 1898 by the owners of Glen Grant Distillery, and which at the time they imaginatively named 'Glen Grant #2'. In 2002 Caperdonich ceased production and closed forever. What excellent liquid remains is keenly treasured by us at RMW.
