Chapter 9 of Decadent Drinks 'Whiskyland' series. Gone Grant is their code name for Speyside distillery Caperdonich; built in 1898 by the owners of Glen Grant Distillery, and which at the time they imaginatively named 'Glen Grant #2'. In 2002 Caperdonich ceased production and closed forever.

This spirit was distilled in 1994 and spent a full three decades maturing in a single second-fill barrel before it was bottled at natural cask strength.
